This position will also play a role in supporting our Disney Conservation mission, provide a data-driven foundation for impact storytelling, deliver business value, and advance our commitment to save wildlife, inspire action and protect the planet. ![]() This contract role will assist the Disney Conservation team based at Walt Disney World Resort® with helping to analyze, visualize, and report out on current and future data collection efforts to assess the impact of our work on conservation, biodiversity and ecosystem services, and community impact. This position will ultimately act to enhance the reputation of the organization, meet, and exceed accreditation obligations of the AZA, and extend the positive influence of the organization into the broader community on matters of wildlife and sustainability of the living natural world. The Director will represent the organization in these areas within the metropolitan community, within the governmental and regulatory community, and within the regional, national, and international conservation community The Directors will be responsible for bringing back pertinent issues that will inform collection composition, recovery efforts, habitat conservation efforts, international conservation support, operating procedures, and communication strategies. Additionally, the Director will design, implement, and align conservation programs with the mission and institutional purpose of the zoo and the institute. The Director of Terrestrial and Wetlands Conservation will assist with the overall strategic direction of the conservation and science program of the Audubon Zoo and the Audubon Nature Institute as a whole. This is carried out as part of a cross-functional team under the direction of the Director to meet the key priorities in Kyabram Fauna Park's Operational Plan and Zoos Victoria's Strategic Plan. This position has a broad focus across Kyabram Fauna Park and includes the development and implementation of innovative programs, training and inspiring staff to embrace new approaches. The Life Sciences Manager will support the Director in achieving goals and outcomes listed in Kyabram Fauna Park's Operational Plans and ensure excellent standards of husbandry and exhibit presentation are maintained. ![]() The Life Sciences Manager contributes to the strategic and tactical direction of the Life Sciences Department and ensures a sustainable species plan for the Park. Particularly the shaping the culture, supervision, management and skill/career development, maintaining relevant assets, and ensuring a high standard of health and welfare of animals across the property. The Life Sciences Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the Life Sciences Department and will play a significant role in the day-to-day operations of the Kyabram Fauna Park. ![]()
